Badnams Case Study

Rebranding in a hurry

With only six weeks to undertake complete company rebranding, create a brochure website, and write and print promotional literature before a huge opportunity in the States, Badnams had a challenge…

Based in the UK, Badnams are one of the world’s leading specialist suppliers of customised generators. They have designed and manufactured the world’s only quiet, lightweight generator that has low emissions, fueled by either petrol or diesel. These generators are used to charge batteries for all the technology which is now used by the military and armed forces while out in the field.

The Challenge

Badnams had the opportunity to go to America and speak to the US Department of Defense about supplying the US armed forces with specialist generators. Wanting to deliver the best first impression, they had just six weeks to update their branding, literature and website before they went.

Paula Watson, Director of Badnams, approached Enterprise Marketing Solutions (EMS) for help. She was initially concerned that due to the short time scales of just six weeks, the project would be too rushed and end up “looking awful”.

The Solution

Karen Moule, MD of Enterprise Marketing, listened carefully, took a thorough brief, and contributed her own ideas. This, combined with her many years of experience, meant any problems could be foreseen and eliminated before they could cause delays. The team created the website, wrote the copy for the brochure and organised the design elements and printing. Before Badnams’ representatives boarded the plane to the USA, the company had a whole new image, new logo, brochures and a new website.

Badnams’ representatives went to the States and presented to the Department of Defense. They made a great first impression and had the updated marketing material with them. Orders have since been received resulting in a whole new revenue stream. Badnams are also now introducing the latest models to the UK Ministry of Defense.

Rebranding in a hurry

“We came to Karen with a project where we needed to really re-launch the business because there was an opportunity to go to the United States and present the products there. Within a matter of days to weeks Karen has come up with a revised logo for us, a revised brochure and now a new website and a whole new image for the business.

I would certainly recommend Enterprise Marketing. Karen has a terrific ‘can do’ attitude. I really expected to be blown out the water when I told her what the problem was and what time constraints we had, but she said “We can get that done” and sure enough she’s pushed the results out, so it is tremendous.”
